There are several online resources which should help with job descriptions. CareerOneStop has a section titled Create Customized Job Descriptions under the Employer highlights. O*NET Online has a Find Occupations component, which lists tasks, skills, abilities, and other worker characteristics for occupations. The O*NET Resource Center has questionnaires (knowledge, skills, abilities, etc.) that were used in the data collection program, and can be a starting point for gathering occupational data. The O*NET Center also has a section titled Human Resource Management with a wealth of information on essential elements of job performance. The Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH) describes job duties and working conditions for a wide range of occupations.
