October Hiring Fair to be Hosted by WorkSource Fulton in Partnership with Commissioner Arrington | Print |

Job seekers, get ready.   WorkSource Fulton in partnership with Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington Jr., District 5, will host a Hiring Fair Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.   Businesses searching for new employees will include 32 employers who need to fill positions within the next 120 days.   The event will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center located at 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, GA off Camp Creek Parkway.

The first Hiring Fair in partnership with Commissioner Arrington was held in October 2016 at what was formerly known as Turner Field. Event co-sponsors for the 2017 Hiring Fair include Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO) and V103 Radio.   The station will provide a remote from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. during the Hiring Fair.  VEO provides services to veterans that range from basic physical and mental healthcare to life skills training.

The Hiring Fair continues the Fulton WorkSource commitment to match quality employers with citizens seeking careers that will help them to meet their individual needs as well as members of their households and families.   WorkSource staff members provide skills assessments to help job seekers to match their skills with employer needs.   Additionally, WorkSource provides employment search tools, strategies and resources; helps individuals prepare appropriate resumes; prepares applicants for face to face or phone interviews with employers and provides advice to help applicants dress for success.
