The Chattahoochee Nature Center is considered as one of Georgia’s premiere natural science centers. Over 40,000 students per year can learn about the community’s natural resources. The Center provides on-site hands-on enrichment programs for students, which include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Design and Math) to inspire schoolchildren to pursue careers in environmental science.

The CNC includes 127 acres of forests and wetlands, which include a 3,000 square foot river boardwalk with daily programming, workshops, festivals and activities that include guided hikes, "creature features," canoe trips and wildlife walks.
