Fulton County’s Fire and Rescue Department is holding several events in the community as a part of Fire Prevention Week, October 3-9, 2010.  This year’s theme is “Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With!” 

Saturday, October 2, 2010 - 11:30 a.m. - Fire Station 7 Rededication Ceremony
The Fire and Rescue Department kicks off Fire Prevention Week with the rededication of Fire Station 7 (5965 Buffington Road, College Park Ga. 30349).  The event is open to the public.

Tuesday, October 5, 2010 – 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. – Health and Safety Fair
A Health and Safety Fair will be held on the Peachtree Level at the Fulton County Government Center (141 Pryor St., SW Atlanta, GA 30303)

Wednesday, October 6, 2010 – 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. - Safety Fair
A Safety Fair will be held at Publix Supermarket (5390 Highway 92, Fairburn, GA 30213). The public is invited to attend.

Fulton County residents are encouraged to visit their local fire station during Fire Prevention Week to learn more about what steps they can take to prevent fires in their homes. Additional information is also available on the Fulton County website, www.fultoncountyga.gov.
