Fulton Hosts Dedication Ceremony for New Service Center | Print |

Fulton County will dedicate the new Fulton County Government Service Center at Fulton Industrial on September 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.  The new facility opened on June 15 of this year and relocated to 5440 Fulton Industrial Boulevard.

South Fulton residents no longer have to drive to downtown Atlanta or further into south Fulton County to the South Fulton Service Center to access the following services:

  • District 7 Commissioner Offices
  • District 5 Commissioner Offices (additional office)
  • Environment and Community Development
  • Fulton County Fire
  • Fulton County Police
  • Fulton County Public Works (Transportation Division)

The move to Fulton Industrial makes it more convenient for South Fulton residents to make payments, submit plans or access other County offices and departments. Prior to the move, residents would have to travel downtown to141 Pryor Street or to the South Fulton Service Center located at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, in College Park.

The relocation is also part of the County’s commitment to revitalize the Fulton Industrial corridor.  On Wednesday April 7, 2010, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners adopted a redevelopment framework to revitalize the Fulton Industrial Boulevard corridor. In addition to the business revitalization components of the framework, the Board of Commissioners voted to lease a 30,000+ square-foot facility at 5440 Fulton Industrial Boulevard.  The facility serves as

a single point of access for Fulton County services in that community and in surrounding areas.   It also will result in a cost savings by consolidating other leased spaces.

Citizens are welcome to attend the dedication and for more information please call 404.612.3754.
