Fulton County to Examine Combating Tobacco Use | Print |

Recent studies estimate the prevalence of adult smokers in Fulton County to be about 90,000.  According to the Georgia Departments of Community Health, one of every six deaths in adult Georgians is due to tobacco related illness.  Georgia continues to fall behind other states in reducing the burden of tobacco use.  Fulton County moves forward to examine tobacco use in the county, how to decrease tobacco use and the effect of tobacco use in our communities.

Fulton Health Continues to Urge Residents to Know Their Status | Print |

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD) is February 7th.¬† On Saturday, February 5, 2011, the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness will provide FREE HIV testing and counseling to residents wanting to know their status.¬† Testing will take place from 1:00 pm ‚Äď 4:00 pm at Greenbriar Mall located at 2841 Greenbriar Parkway, Atlanta.

Alan P. Pryor Named Economic Development Director for South Fulton Special Services District | Print |

Pryor as its new Economic Development Director for the South Fulton Special Services District.  Pryor will oversee the County’s efforts to promote economic growth and the creation of jobs within Fulton County, with a specific focus on unincorporated South Fulton.
