South Fulton offers Community Garden Beds | Print |

Limited quantity of beds available

Fulton County Cooperative Extension and South Fulton Master Gardeners, in partnership with Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards, have established the District 7 Community Garden.  The garden will have ten (10) garden beds available and are seeking District 7 residents to be occupants of a plot.  A $25 fee is required for plot holders.  The garden is located behind the South Fulton Government Center at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park, GA.

Fulton Health Inspectors Provide Training on Food Safety | Print |

The Fulton County Office of Environmental Health Service (OEHS) has been providing free training on Food Safety for food service providers for those who wish to learn more about the Georgia Code on Food Safety.  Training on the Georgia Food Code is held twice a month (once at the Georgia Restaurant Association and once at the Aldredge Health Center).   ServSafe (accreditation for food service establishment operators) is also held once a month.

In observation of the annual National Women’s Health Week, May 8-14, 2011, the Women’s Health Division of the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness will sponsor a health awareness event to emphasize the importance of getting regular check-ups, including screenings for diabetes, breast cancer, and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
