Fulton County Global Youth Commissioners recently returned to Atlanta from Istanbul, Turkey tired but energized.  Nine of the eleven Youth Commissioners who made the 13-day trip, which began Saturday, May 29, 2010, took the time for a final photograph together as they exited the escalator to pick up their luggage from baggage claim at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The group visited political dignitaries, toured Mosques and met other youth leadership groups in Turkey to learn about issues facing youth in Turkey and to share the issues that young people face here in the United States.  The third annual cultural exchange trip also included stops in Ankara, Cappadocia, Mardin, Izmir and Istanbul. The first two exchange programs featured travel to South Africa and Germany.
